Outi Tarkiainen

Outi Tarkiainen's music is frequently performed abroad and has been dubbed to draw on the immensity of the northern natural environment. Since her student days, Outi has been drawn to the expressive power and natural truths of the human voice.

“I see music as a force of nature, that can flood over a person and even change entire destinies”, she has said. Tarkiainen has also been creating innovative dialogues with the jazz idiom, as well as exploring themes of womanhood like childbirth.
