Description

Ylioppilaskunnan Soittajat ry (YS, Helsinki University Symphony Orchestra) organized a composition contest in honor of its 85th anniversary. The three finalists were selected by panel consisted of Mikk Murdvee, John Storgårds, Riikka Talvitie and Veli-Matti Puumala. The winning composition was selected by the audience members of the anniversary concert and members of YS. Ilari Hylkilä's Metalfare was voted winner in the final held on 16th April 2011.
