Ilari Hylkilä
Ilari Hylkilä is specialized in melodic classical music. Many times his music has been described with word "cinematic".
Ilari Hylkilä's works range from symphony orchestra and sinfonietta to concert bands, from chamber ensembles to a cappella group, from big band to folk music group.
Most of Hylkilä's music is commissioned concert music. However, his music have been used in many audiovisual productions and events. Hylkilä's music has been performed in many big arenas and festivals such as Basel Tattoo, Avenches Tattoo, Sweden International Tattoo and Hamina Tattoo. Hylkilä has written music for one of the most successful Aesthetic Group Gymnastics group, OVO, to be used in competitions such as World Championships.
Ilari Hylkilä has won prizes in six composition competitions and has been a finalist for several others.
