Jing

for soprano and cello

Description

Au début de sa carrière de compositeur, Kaija Saariaho était particulièrement attachée à la musique vocale. Jing, qui évoque un texte d'une poétesse chinoise du XII' siècle, fut exécuté plusieurs fois après sa création, notamment lors du festival des jeunes compositeurs nordiques (Ung nordisk musik), en mai 1980 à Helsinki.
