Game Over
by Seppo Pohjola
Description
Game Over is a work in one movement lasting about 15 minutes and contains a wealth of more fragmentary material in addition to its long, sustained sections. Among the alternative names that suggested themselves as the work progressed were Theatrical Music and Overplay, which to some extent at least indicate what I was trying to express. The overall character of the music is dance-like and virtuosic in a way that comes naturally to me. There are more sudden changes of tempo and speed-ups than in any of my previous compositions.

Game Over on kestoltaan noin 15 minuutin mittainen yksiosainen kokonaisuus, joka sisältää joidenkin pitkälinjaisten jaksojen ohella runsaasti fragmentaarisempaa materiaalia.
