Description
Cette première composition de Kaija Saariaho fut exécutée publiquement lors d'un concert donné par les étudiants de l'Académie Sibelius au Palais des Arts à Helsinki. Bruden (« Fiancée ») est un cycle de quatre mélodies dont chacune est conçue pour une configuration instrumentale différente. L'oeuvre a été inspirée par Edith Södergran, poète finlandais (1892-1923).
