<p>Sanna Ahvenjärvi describes her work as tending “to be characterised by emotional catharsis, comfort and an almost therapeutic vibe”. She is also a composition teacher specialised in children and young.</p> <p>An important side of her work as a composer is co-composing with her husband Tapio Lappalainen, a quite rare thing in classical art music. Their Water for symphony orchestra won the Teosto prize in 2023. </p>
