<p>Kalevi Aho is a prolific composer, whose musical language is coloured by various influences from Neo-Classicism to free tonality, combining these in a highly original idiom. </p><p>He has composed operas and chamber music and much of his large symphonic output is written in close collaboration with Sinfonia Lahti, and he is also well-known for his broad series of solo concertos, which he has written for a big variety of instruments from tuba and tenor saxophone to percussion. </p>
