<p>The core of the output of Olli Kortekangas consists of vocal music in various shapes and forms. His operas have been performed at prestigious venues in Finland and abroad. Many of his works were created in close collaboration with their future performers. A case in point is the opera <a href="https://core.musicfinland.fi/works/yhden-yon-juttu" target="_blank">Yhden yön juttu</a> (One night stand), commissioned by the Sibelius Academy, where vocal music students at the Sibelius Academy participated in the creative process at an early stage. Much of his choral music is derived from his long-standing work with the world-famous Tapiola Choir. His work is characterised by a philosophical approach, a close relationship to text and collaboration with other branches of the arts.</p>
