Description

Walpurgis temperament was written in Lauri's 2nd year at Royal College of Music in London, as a composition student of Alison Kay. The name of the piece comes from Walpurgis Night or Vappu in Finnish, as the work was finished on 30th April 2009.

The work has been recorded on 28th May 2009 in RCM with Marta Santamaria-Llavall, flute, Harry Cameron-Penny, clarinet and Abraham Mennen, saxophone. The work is dedicated to the same players.
