Viridium dies

Description
My first organ work Viridium dies was first performed at the Tampere festival in 2002. It had to wait for nine years to be premiered. When Jan Lehtola dug it out of his archive, my first thought was to produce a new version of it. I soon noticed, however, that too much time and experience had elapsed between the Koskinen now approaching his thirties crisis and free from the worst of his illusions and the twenty-something budding composer doing his national service in the Hamina Military Band: better not to use the know-how I now possess to tamper with the intuitive explorations of a beginner.
