Vaeltaja

Description
Kaarlo Sarkia is known as the author of the most beautiful poems in Finnish, and that is why his texts lend themselves particularly well to mathematically beautiful spectral sounds. The very name of the song, Vaeltaja (The Wanderer) is reflected in the music, which wanders through different tonal centres to the calm and static C spectrum. In the piece I have combined two elements which I like very much: rapid movement and spectral harmonies.

Kaarlo Sarkia on tunnettu kauneimpien suomenkielisten runojen kirjoittajana, minkä takia hänen tekstinsä tulevat erityisen hyvin toimeen matemaattisen kauniiden spektrisointujen kanssa. Laulun nimi Vaeltaja saa vastineen musiikista, joka vaeltaa eri tonaalisissa keskuksissa päätyen rauhalliseen ja staattiseen C-spektriin. Kappaleessa olen yhdistänyt kaksi itselleni mieluista elementtiä, nopean liikkeen sekä spektriharmoniat.
