Description

These three preludes were originally composed in just a few days, in September 2000, to be performed at a semi-official event at the Department of Musicology at the University of Helsinki. The official premiere occurred 13 years later. At that point I had already considered rewriting some passages that I felt to be pianistically awkward. I finally did just that in the autumn 2017.
