Description

Compared to my first sonatina this one, written in 2005, is more ambiguous in character. The first movement is poetic and nostalgic. The second movement dances away until the mood of the first movement reappears, like a slightly distorted memory from the past. This is followed by a brief and laconic coda, and the work is over. In hindsight one may wonder if the sonatina told a story of some kind - and perhaps it did just that.
