Description
Smooth Space on a Discontinuous Surface explores the possibilities of orchestral glissandi in a graphic and visual way. Working with the same synaesthetic ideas as FEB0906 and the later Music for Choir the piece is written over partiture paper rather than in it. The score paper represents a total gamut of possible pitch space and rather than be confined to their "lines" the instruments are able to start in it in every spatial and temporal location.
