Description

Shimmer of the North is a concertino for concert accordion and string orchestra, which is also possible to perform with concert accordion and string quintet. The work is dedicated to the memory of Pekka Pohjola, the grand old man of Finnish progressive rock. Particularly the harmonies of the second movement are referring to the music of Pekka Pohjola, which has inspired me a lot in my life and caused in a way my ‘musical awakening’
