Description

"Romer's Gap was composed between August 2015 and March 2016 at the heart of Kallio, Helsinki. Devoting to full-time composing was made possible by the generous support of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. The sound processing equipment was extremely kindly given at my disposal by ms. Eija Kankaanranta. Thank you, patrons!" (O.V. March 2016)

The concerto exists in two versions. This version was scored for the available forces of the Turku premiere (compared to the Jyväskylä version the string section is larger and the instrumentation includes an additional percussion and harp).
