Prelude

by Luukas Hiltunen

Emotions

pour piano

Description

The subtitle of my technically demanding Prelude for piano, Emotions, is taking its origin on the structure and content of the work. There are six individual emotions within the work, a few are linked unchanged to each other. From the stylistic point of view the work pays a tribute to the great musical masters of the impressionism, Claude Debussy (1862-1918), Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) and Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915).

A recommended performing time is ca. 3 minutes which makes the work ideal for recitals or as an encore.
