Premiere

Premiered as a concert version by the Heidelberger Atelier Ensemble, conducted by Paul Fitzsimon at the Heidelberger Frühling Festival in Heidelberg (D) on 27th March 2010.

Commisioned by / dedications

The work is dedicated to the Ossian Ensemble, who premiered the original version was in a workshop at the Royal College of Music on 29th January 2009. The work is based on a solo piano piece of the same name, first performed on 7th Dec 2008 at the Royal College of Music by Maria Yavroumi. A separate score is available for the piece to be played as a solo piano version. The large clarinet solo in the middle section exists as a separate version for clarinet and piano.
