Description

This song was commissioned by the male choir Frihetsbröderna and first performed on it’s 110th anniversary concert. The poem is by Edith Södergran. (It is not be confused with her other, more famous Nocturne; this one was written in a guestbook and never printed during the poetess’ lifetime). I chose it first of all because I like Södergran’s poetry very much, secondly because it tells about the power and magic of music.
