My second piece to take its title from artists and photographers Ritva Kovalainen and Sanni Seppo's publications on the disappearance of natural forests in the Nordics, My Soul is the Thick Forest explores both different divisions within a small string ensemble and combinations of organically appearing textures and lyrical melodic material.
