Lux aeterna Op. 39b

Description
Urkuyö ja Aaria tilasi minulta teoksen 1995 sopraanolle, uruille ja harmonikalle esitettäväksi festivaalin 10. juhlavuoden kunniaksi. Päädyin käyttämään raamatun Lux Aeterna ja Agnus Dei -tekstejä pohjana, koska halusin luoda jännitteisen ja kontrastoivan teoksen lyyrisine (Jumalan Karitsa) ja dramaattisine (Ikuinen valo) elementteineen. Tein instrumentaaliversion teoksesta huilulle, uruille ja harmonikalle, joka sai kantaesityksensä sävellyskonserttini yhteydessä New Yorkissa, upeassa St. Peter Churchissa marraskuussa 2001.
