Description

Laavlâ uses three Inari Sámi folk poems as text material. These poems centre on animals and highlight the deep connection between Sámi culture and nature. Ijjâlodde depicts a nocturnal owl stalking mice, Poccuu laavlâ emphasises the relationship between the Sámi people and reindeer, and Kuobžâ laavlâ illustrates the end of winter and a bear awakening from hibernation.
