Description

Listening to the piece, one can perhaps imagine an icy, frozen sea of icebergs that slowly and majestically glide by and grind upon each other, with crystal clear waters running down the frozen slopes interacting with huge chunks of melting ice. The linear and vertical parameters in 'Frozen Liquid' are subjected to sectional elaboration, combined with manipulation of timbre and texture. 'Frozen Liquid' is a twin piece to the string orchestra piece 'Critical Mass' (1999 - 2000).
