Description

In winter I travel to India, and Indian music has influenced my work in many ways. I have also worked with many local musicians and dancers there. Navarasa is a core concept in Indian aesthetics and refers to the nine basic temperaments in Indian art. I have so far set three of them to music.

Talvisin matkusta Intiaan, ja intialainen musiikki on vaikuttanut työhöni monin tavoin. Olen myös tenhyt yhteistyötä monien sikäläisten muusikoiden ja tanssijoiden kanssa. Navarasa on intialaisen estetiikan keskeinen käsite, joka viittaa intialaisen taiteen yhdeksään perustunnelmaan. Olen tähän mennessä säveltänyt niistä kolme.
