Otteita dialogimuotoisesta sävellyspäiväkirjasta, jossa keksimäni hahmot Exquilax ja The Pointing Hand keskustelevat fixistä helmikuussa 2015.

- For shits and giggles: mitä unisono tarkoittaa? Mitä se viestii, mihin siitä edetään?

- Unisono on paradoksi. Koko yhtye kuulostaa yhdeltä soittimelta, tai ainakin yhdeltä linjalta. Vastakohta olisi, että jokainen yksi soitin kuulostaa kahdelta linjalta - ks. George Benjaminin Viola, Viola, joka kuulostaa paikoin yhdeltä alttoviululta, paikoin kokonaiselta jousiorkesterilta … Konsertto sateenkaarevalle linjalle, jossa leikitään toistolla ja variaatiolla … ja kehittelylle annetaan aikaa.

- (tirskahdus) kehittely. Voi luoja.

- ”This piece is in three parts. Fast Slow Fast, cos that’s what Music Is”.

- HHIIIHIHUHOHOHIHHHAHAAHHAHOHIHHEHEHEHHE. Mä kuolen.

A few entries from my composition diary in dialogue form, where two characters Exquilax and The Pointing Hand discuss fix in February 2015.

- For shits and giggles: what does unisono mean? What does it communicate, where do you go from there?

- A unison is a paradox. The whole ensemble sounds as one instrument, or at least as a single line. The contrary would be that every instrument sounded as two, such as in George Benjamin’s Viola, Viola, which occasionally sounds as one single instrument or as a string orchestra … A concerto for a rainbowed line, playing with repetition and variation … and there’s ample time for development.

- (chuckles) development. Oh lord.

- ”This piece is in three parts. Fast Slow Fast, cos that’s what Music Is”.

- HHIIIHIHUHOHOHIHHHAHAAHHAHOHIHHEHEHEHHE. I’m dying.
