Description

Dwell or ’How All Birds Have Flown to Panama’ is a collection of four precarious songs originally conceived for soprano and guitar. In it all birds have begun nesting, save me and you. What are we waiting for? The songs – ’Quid’, ’Hebban olla vogala’, ’nach’ and ’Panama’ – are intervowen with works from different periods of the vast repertoire for accompanied voice. The original version of Dwell is dedicted to Tuuli and Petri with thanks for our collaboration.

This version of Dwell, which includes the movements Quid and Panama, was commissioned by the flute and guitar duo HAV (Marianne Sihvonen & Alvi Joensen).
