Dream of a Beautiful Mermaid

for wind band

Description

I am deeply intrigued by the idea of mermaids; on one hand, they are creatures of out-of-this-earth beauty, and therefore live under the seafloor, unfortunately for us humans. On the other hand, they only pose as such to conceal their true hellishness and to get their prey near them. Rather than depicting a mermaid, I hope that in a concert setting this piece will act like one.
