Premiere
Abraham Mennen premiered the piece on April 1st 2011 in RCM Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall with Hristo Dushev, percussion and Jakub Cywinski and David McIlfatrick, contrabass. At the premiere, the work was paired with two other works and performed as 'Three Pieces'.
Commisioned by / dedications CB/AB was commissioned by the South African saxophonist Abraham Mennen for his final recital at the Royal College of Music, London (UK). The work is dedicated to Abraham with thanks for out close collaboration and friendship.
