Description

”Aqua is a short accordion piece that I wrote as an educational piece for more advanced students. The middle section includes a short passage that uses proportional notation, and I thought that I would serve as a good vehicle for students to be introduced to this ancient notational convention. The musical material of Aqua is further developed in a larger accordion piece Celestial Bodies, with a more profound emphasis on proportional notational techniques.” (O.V. October 2017)
