Description
There is a peculiar cadence and rhythm in the way airline cabin attendants point out the exits prior to departure. This piece is simply a transposition of this phenomenon to the concert hall. All right, it may not be much of a joke, but at least when I wrote it my feet were off the ground. Literally. On an Icelandair flight en route to the World Symposium on Choral Music in Minneapolis.

Siinä, miten lentoemännät osoittavat lentokoneen uloskäynnit ennen lähtöä, on oma omituinen rytminsä ja äänensävynsä. Tässä teoksessa tämä ilmiö on siirretty konserttisaliin. No myönnetään, eihän se nyt mikään ratkihauska vitsi ole, mutta ainakin teos on kirjoitettu jalat irti maasta. Kirjaimellisesti. Nimittäin Icelandairin lennolla matkalla kuoromusiikin maailmansymposiumiin Minneapolisissa.
