A Love Surplus
Description
A Love Surplus was written in Villa Karo, Benin, in November-December 2010. The work consists of three cadenzas, one for each instrument, and of passages between them. The title of the work may hint towards John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme", but the music has little else to do with him or his music. The title points towards the unbalance that three protagonists always create, rather than any direct musical inspirations.
