A Famous Expression of Parting

for piano, harp, violin and harp

Description

The composition uses Pa Rarovi's poem as a starting point for exploring polytempic or poly-temporal musical expression creating individual bubbles where each musician exists in an environment rather than a concert. The music then intersects the same way the wind, the birds, and sailing boats do as they all leave the shore, each existing there at the same time, but none being there because of each other, but rather through concomitant coincidence.
