<p>Sid Hille has composed music for orchestra and big band, chamber music, as well as music for small jazz settings and film music. Building a bridge between the two musical orbits of classical music and jazz is somewhat of a mission for him.</p> <p>As a performer he is focusing especially on improvised music. “I want my composed music to sound like it was improvised – spontaneous and fresh. And I want my improvised music to sound like it was composed – meaningful and lasting”, he says.</p>
