<p>Herman Rechberger was a composer and a multi-instrumentalist, even called a Renaissance figure. His output as a composer reaches from chamber music and orchestral works to choral music and opera.</p> <p>He also served as director of the Finnish Broadcasting Company's Experimental Music Studio, composing multimedia works and radiophonies, as well as being actively involved in music education for children. His background in graphics was visible in his experimentation with notation and visual scores. </p>
