<p>Joel Järventausta's compositions are often inspired by extra-musical sources like nature and other arts, visible in his work titles. Synesthesia also plays an important role. “Carefully crafted sounds-worlds and textures are always a priority. These for me, are like the detailed use of colour and light in painting”, he says.</p> <p>Järventausta's output include both chamber and vocal music, orchestra works and opera. He has won international competitions and gotten his music performed in many countries.</p>
