<p>Olli Mustonen is a pianist of top international calibre who is also a conductor and a composer – a combination he has embraced since childhood, as he puts it: “Composers, instrumentalists, conductors, teachers, all of them should be ‘musicians’.” </p> <p>As a composer, he has remained aloof of the various schools and styles, exploring various idioms and composing mainly instrumental music. The majority of his works are for his own instrument, but his output spans a range from solo violin to symphony.</p>
