Tiina Myllärinen began her music studies playing classical guitar but then took up composition. At the moment, she is working on a doctorate at the Sibelius Academy. Her output includes orchestral, choral, chamber music and solo works, and she has also dabbled in electronic music. Her works have been described as “cheerfully inquisitive, vigorous and original”. She has recently taken an interest in acoustic phenomena such as resonance and experimented with using them as parameters and variations in her musical idiom.
