Influences from southern Indian classical music have been an important part of his music since the 1990s, not as superimposed exotica but as deeply integrated elements.</p> <p>“What interests me is musicianship. This takes in various functions: playing, composing, performing, improvising”. Eero Hämeenniemi is also known for his extensive literary output.</p>
