Sampsa Ertamo
Sampsa Ertamo has a broad output of compositions, chamber music and solo works as well as electro-acoustic works and chamber opera. In his vocal music he also uses phonetic text created by himself.
“Music, that mental animal of old, uses brute force without physical form, speaks without meanings and offers the purest way to the divine. The composer, the servant, has no reason to compose, nor any true freedom of choice. One can only obey the id, the musical beast within”, says Ertamo.
