Lauri Mäntysaari
Lauri Mäntysaari has composed orchestral works, chamber music and solo works as well as works for voices and opera. His works have gained success in international competitions. Mäntysaari feels that music is all about organizing sound, but in novel ways. He is fascinated by organic unity and spectral harmonies.
Among his choral works is an All-night Vigil, only the second of its kind written in Finnish. He is also active as a writer and newspaper critic.
