Kari Ikonen
Kari Ikonen is one of Finland’s most valued jazz pianists. He is best known in the context of his own band, Kari Ikonen Trio. He has also collaborated with many internationally celebrated jazz musicians. He has written music for his own bands and for larger ensembles such as UMO Jazz Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Uusinta! Chamber Ensemble. He has also won international recognition as a composer by winning composition competitions.
