Heinz-Juhani Hofmann
Heinz-Juhani Hofmann has established himself as a composer with special focus of vocal music and opera, often transporting the listeners beyond their comfort zone. He is a man of contrasts and extremes, a composer of brutal naturalism, asking his performers to sing, scream and shout.
Hofmann has treated topics such as violence, repression, murder, incest and uprising, usually writing the librettos himself.
